Cornelis Van Haarlem

Cornelis Van Haarlem (1562, Haarlem-1638, Haarlem).

Dutch painter. His first mentor was the artist Pieter Pietersz (1540/41-1603), then Cillis Congnet in Antwerp. Around 1584 he became friends with Hendrick Goltzius and Karel van Mander, with whom he founded the Haarlem Academy.
