Kornev Igor Alexandrovich

Honored Artist of Russia (2002). Born in Arzamas. Graduated from State Art University (1947−1952). He worked in the field of genre painting and portraiture. Author of paintings on the theme of people's memory of the Great Patriotic War. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1962. Since 1959 - a permanent participant in regional exhibitions. Exhibitor of zonal (“Big Volga” 1964,1967,1970,1974,1980,1985,1991,1998), republican (Moscow 1960,1965,1967; Tula 1977), all-Union (Moscow 1972), all-Russian (Moscow 1999,2000) art exhibitions. Personal exhibition: N. Novgorod, 2002. The author’s works are in many regional museums and private collections.
