Born in the village of Kolomenskoye, Moscow region. In 1959 he graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. Studied with M. Dobroserdov, G. Tseitlin, I. Gurvich, P. Sokolov-Skal. Since 1951 he has been participating in exhibitions. In 1976 he was accepted as a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. The works are in the Sakhalin Regional Museum of Local Lore and other museums in the country.
