Korolev Gennady Georgievich

Honored Artist of the RSFSR. People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1994). Candidate of Art History, Professor (1965). In 1945 he graduated from the Moscow Art Institute. V.I. Surikov. Studied with S.V. Gerasimova, V.V. Pochitalova, N.Kh. Maksimova. In 1950 he graduated from graduate school with a PhD in art history. He taught at the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I. Surikov, was assistant to D.K. Mochalsky. In 1952 he was awarded the title of associate professor, in 1965 - the title of professor. Lived and worked in Moscow. He painted in the genres of landscape, portrait, and genre painting. Participant in the exhibitions “All-Union Art Exhibition” (Moscow, 1946), “Soviet Russia” (Moscow, 1960). Paintings by G.G. The Queen is in the art museums of Kuibyshev, Saratov, Yugoslavia, Greece, as well as in private collections in France, Korea, Japan, USA, Germany.
