Korzhevsky Boris Georgievich (1927-2004)

Soviet painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts (1927-2004). Born in 1927 in Kuban. Graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I. Surikov (workshop of academician I.E. Grabar). In 1952-1954 he worked in a creative team to recreate the panorama “Defense of Sevastopol”. Member of the Ministry of Agriculture since 1958. Participant in all-Union, republican, Moscow and foreign (Cuba, France) exhibitions since 1952. The works were acquired by the State Tretyakov Gallery and major regional museums in Russia and the CIS countries.
