Kotarbinsky Wilhelm Alexandrovich (1849, Poland - 1921, Kyiv).

Polish historical painter, portrait painter, landscape painter. He graduated from the Warsaw Art School (1876 - 1871), studied at the Roman Academy of St. Luke (1872 – 1875). Student of the Academy of Arts from 1875 to 1882. In 1893 he took part in the organization of the Association of Kyiv Artists. Since 1905 - academician of the Academy of Arts. Participated in the paintings of the Vladimir Cathedral in Kyiv (1885 – 1896). Works by V.A. Kotarbinsky are stored in the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, and art collections in Ukraine, Belarus, and Poland.
