Kovinin Valery Mikhailovich

Kovinin Valery Mikhailovich (1930 - ).

Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR. Born in Yakutsk in the family of the director of the Yakut Local History and Art Museum. In 1952, after graduating from the Yakut Theater and Art School, he entered the Kharkov Art Institute, which he graduated in 1958 in the workshop of the rector of the institute, Professor Mikhail Aleksandrovich Shaposhnikov and his assistant Evgeny Pavlovich Egorov. In the fall of 1958 was accepted as a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. At the same time, Kovinin V.M. moves to Tashkent, where he teaches painting and drawing at the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky. In 1970 he was awarded the title of Associate Professor of the Drawing Department. V.M. Kovinin devoted his entire life to creative and teaching work in Tashkent. The artist’s works are in museums in Kyiv, Ufa, Krasnoyarsk and Yakutsk. In the Tashkent State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan, a separate room is dedicated to the work of V.M. Kovinin. V.M. Kovinin’s works are in private collections in Russia, as well as in Italy, Great Britain, Germany, the USA and Turkey.
