Painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. The artist, whom art critics at one time called the “Russian Van Gogh.” Recognition came to him after his first personal exhibition, held in 1961 at the Central House of Architects. His paintings began to be acquired by museums (Kostroma, Saratov, Pskov and Arkhangelsk), and later by foreign museums, as well as private collectors and art connoisseurs, including such famous people as academician Pyotr Kapitsa, aircraft designer Oleg Antonov, composers Aram Khachaturyan and Nikita Bogoslovsky, pianist Svyatoslav Richter, etc. Over the years of his creative life, A.N. Kozlov held more than ten personal exhibitions in Moscow, 4 documentaries were made about him (two of them by foreign documentarians). Participant of all-Union exhibitions. The author's works are in many regional museums and private collections.
