Russian painter. He graduated from the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where he studied with A. Vasnetsov and A. Arkhipov. He participated in the last (47th and 48th) exhibitions of the Peredvizhniki, and then entered the Academy of Religious Art. Most of the artist’s works were devoted to the harsh beauty of the nature of Karelia and the Arctic. The artist's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery.
