Krivonogov Petr Alexandrovich (1910-1967)

Outstanding Soviet battle painter, graphic artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Honored Artist of the USSR (1955). Laureate of the Stalin Prize, second degree (1949). Awarded the Order of the Red Star. P. A. Krivonogov was the first to be awarded the gold medal. M. B. Grekova (1967). In 1997, the P. A. Krivonogov Museum was opened, the main part of the exhibition of which is dedicated to his works, and its funds contain paintings and graphic works of the war and post-war years. The artist’s paintings are in the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Moscow and the Kineshma Art Gallery.
