Kryzhitsky Konstantin Yakovlevich (1858 - 1911)

He received a general education at the Kiev School, entered the Imperial Academy of Arts in 1877 and studied there under the guidance of Professor Baron M. K. Klodt. He graduated from the academic course in 1884 with the title of class artist of the 1st degree and with a small gold medal awarded to him for the painting “Oaks”; promoted in 1889 to the degree of academician. Since 1900, full member of the Academy of Arts. Most of his paintings appeared at annual academic exhibitions beginning in 1879.
