Soviet, Russian and British graphic artist, painter, sculptor and animator. Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (2000). Studied at the animation courses at the Soyuzmultfilm film studio. In 1974 he emigrated to Great Britain and lived in London. Since the 1970s - a participant in exhibitions. Took part in the International Biennial of Engraving (France, 1976), the European Triennial of Engraving (Italy, 1987). In 1997 he moved to Moscow. The artist's works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum of Fine Arts named after Pushkin, the National Centre for Contemporary Arts in Moscow, the Tate Gallery (London), the Victoria and Albert Museum (London) and other museum and private collections.
