Kuperwasser Tatyana Isidorovna

Kuperwasser Tatyana Isidorovna (1903, St. Petersburg - 1972, Leningrad).

Painter, graphic artist took drawing lessons from V. D. Bubnova (1913–1914). She studied at the State Free Art Workshops - Vkhutemas - Vkhutein in Petrograd (Leningrad; 1918–1924), in the painting department under K. S. Petrov-Vodkin. She was married to the artist A.I. Rusakov. She painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and nude studies. Since the 1930s she has worked extensively in pastel and watercolor techniques. Since the late 1930s, she has been engaged in decorative and applied graphics. Since 1925 - participant in exhibitions (exhibition of final works by students of the Leningrad Academy of Arts). A founding member of the “Circle of Artists” association, she participated in the 2nd (1928) and 3rd (1929) exhibitions of the “Circle” in Leningrad, as well as in exhibitions of the association in London (1929) and Kyiv (1930). Exhibited at the exhibition “Modern Leningrad artistic groups” (1928–1929), the 1st citywide exhibition of fine arts (1930), exhibitions of Leningrad artists (1934, 1936, 1940) in Leningrad. Creativity is presented in a number of museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum. A. S. Pushkin.
