Kuzmin Nikolay Vasilievich

Kuzmin Nikolai Vasilievich (1890, Serdobsk, Penza region - 1987).

Russian graphic artist, People's Artist of Russia (1972), corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1967). In 1912-1914. studied at the Drawing School of the College of Arts under I.Ya. Bilibina, A.A. Rylova, N.K. Roerich, then from 1922 to 1924 - at VKHUTEIN. Created a series of illustrations for the anniversary academic publication of A.S. Pushkin's "Eugene Onegin" (1933), awarded a large gold medal at the World Book Exhibition in Paris (1937). The artist's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery.
