Kuznetsov Konstantin Pavlovich (1863-1936)

Russian artist, impressionist. Worked in France. Around 1892 he entered the art studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in the city of Saratov, where he met V.E. Borisov-Musatov. In 1896 he made a long trip around Europe. In 1897-1899 studied in the workshop of F. Cormon in Paris. In the 1900s worked in Barbizon. From 1903-1910 participant in exhibitions of the Moscow Association of Artists in Moscow and St. Petersburg, since 1909 - member of the association. In 1909, he performed scenery sketches for the unrealized production of Pelleas and Melisande by C. Debussy for the Opera-Comique. In 2021, the first large-scale exhibition took place at the Tretyakov Gallery. Works by K.P. Kuznetsov's works are in many museum collections, including the Orsay Museum and the Carnavalet Museum in Paris, the Pont-Aven Museum of Fine Arts, the Eugene Boudin Museum in Honfleur, the Kemper Museum of Fine Arts, the Hague Art Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, as well as in private collections.
