Soviet artist, graphic artist, illustrator, poster artist. In 1927 - 1929 he studied drawing in the studio of Professor Savitsky. In 1934 he graduated from the Leningrad College of Fine Arts for Working Youth, studied with G.N. Traugott. Took lessons from N.A. Tyrsa. Since 1937, he collaborated with the magazines “Chizh” and “Koster”, and worked with the publishing house “Detgiz”. Since 1940 - participant of city, republican and all-Union exhibitions. In 1939, he participated in the creation of the first “Combat Pencil” posters. During the war, he served as a front-line artist in the Riga edition of "The Soldier's Friend". After the war, he continued to work in children's publishing houses and "Combat Pencil". The artist’s works are presented in the art collection of the State Memorial Museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad, the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg, the Exhibition Center of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists, as well as in private Russian collections.
