Famous Russian and Soviet artist. Participated in exhibitions of the Itinerants in 1922, 1923; “Association of Artists of the Revolution” (AHR) 1922. Important exhibitions: “First Izdeb Salon” 1909-10; MOLKH, NOKH, “Moscow Salon”, “Unicorn Salon” Artists of the RSFSR for 15 years”, Moscow, 1933; "All-Union Art Exhibition", Moscow, 1947. Painted some of the earliest realistic works inspired by the October Revolution of 1917. Member of the Zhar-Tsvet society since 1923 (co-founder). The artist's works are presented in many regional museums in Russia.
