Soviet artist, graphic artist and book illustrator. Since 1921, he studied at VKHUTEMAS with E. S. Kruglikova. Since 1931, he worked at the Lenfilm film studio, also at the Academia publishing house: he illustrated books of world classics and “Rainbow”: the design of children's books. Known for a series of drawings “Leningrad in the days of the siege” of 1941-1945.
