Member of the Union of Artists of Russia, Honored Artist of Russia. Born in the city of Bobruisk, Belarus. In 1941 she entered the Higher Art and Industrial School in Moscow. From 1941 to 1945 was at the front. In 1951 she graduated from the Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts with honors, a student of the animal artist V. A. Vatagin. Since 1955 - participant of Moscow, republican, all-Union and international exhibitions. Since 1964 member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Since 2001 - Honored Artist of Russia. Works by L.V. Hinshein are in museums and private collections in the USA, Italy, France, Germany, Scotland and Vietnam. She devoted many years to working on the cycles “Corner named after V. Durov”, “Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard”, “Zoo”. In addition to the collections of the State Darwin Museum, her works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Biological Museum. K. A. Timiryazev, in the art gallery of Krasnoarmeysk.
