Kholuev Mikhail Fedorovich (1923, Ryazan region - 1990, Nizhny Novgorod).

Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1970). Laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR. Graduated from the Ryazan Art School (1947-1952) and the Institute. I.E.Repina Academy of Arts of the USSR (1952-1958). Painter, worked in the field of genre painting and portraiture. Author of paintings on the theme of the Great Patriotic War. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1960. Since 1958, a permanent participant in regional exhibitions. Exhibitor of zonal ("Big Volga", 1964, 1967, 1970, 1974, 1979, 1985), republican (Moscow, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975), all-Union (Moscow, 1970) art exhibitions. A personal exhibition was held in Gorky in 1975. He was chairman of the zonal exhibition committee "Big Volga", 1974 and chairman of the board of the Gorky organization of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1967-1970). He taught at the State Art University (1958-1960). The artist's works are in a number of Russian museums and private collections.
