Холуев В.Ф.

Kholuev Vladimir Fedorovich (1932, Ryazan region - 2002, Nizhny Novgorod).

Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1975). Graduated from the Ryazan Art School (1948-1951) and the Institute. I.E. Repin Academy of Arts of the USSR (1951-1957). Painter. He worked primarily in the field of genre and historical painting. Author of paintings dedicated to the working class. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1960. Chairman of the Board of the Gorky organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR (1975-1977, 1982-1983). Since 1957 he has been a regular participant in regional exhibitions. Exhibitor of zonal ("Big Volga", 1964, 1970, 1974, 1980), republican (Moscow, 1960, 1965, 1970), all-Union (Moscow, 1957, 1967) art exhibitions. Personal exhibitions of V.F. Kholuev were held in Nizhny Novgorod in 2003 and in St. Petersburg in 2003. The artist’s works are in the State Russian Museum, in the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum and in private collections.
