Lanskoy Andrei Mikhailovich (1902, Moscow -1976, Paris).

Abstract artist, representative of the so-called. "The Second Parisian School". He studied at the Corps of Pages in St. Petersburg. After moving to Kyiv, he visited the studio of A.A. Exter. He fought as a volunteer in the White Army, was evacuated to Constantinople, and from there ended up in Paris. Attended the Grand Chaumiere Academy, studied in the workshop of S.Yu. Sudeikina. In 1923, he participated in the exhibition of Russian artists “Udar”, in the Paris Salons, and held personal exhibitions in Parisian galleries. Since 1937, he moved away from object art under the influence of V.V. Kandinsky and P. Klee and becomes an abstractionist. The artist's works are in museums of modern art in Paris, Antwerp, Mannheim, Philadelphia, Toledo, and Rio de Janeiro.
