Lemkul Fedor Viktorovich (1914-1995)

Artist, graphic artist, illustrator. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. At the beginning of his career he worked in children's magazines "Murzilka" and "Pioneer". The first books he illustrated were “The Tale of a Tram” by S. Baruzdin and “My Serpent” by M. Karem. He designed books for the publishing houses "Children's Literature", "Progress", "Malysh". In total he illustrated more than 130 books. Repeated winner of the All-Union Book Art Competitions (1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1974, 1975), the International Exhibition and Competition of Book Art (IBA) in Leipzig (1965).
