Widow of the famous French artist Fernand Léger. From an early age, Nadya Leger had an unusually strong character. At the age of fifteen, the girl ran away to Smolensk and entered an art school where the famous Kazimir Malevich taught. Nadya idolized the master until he declared that painting was dead. Disappointed in her idol, she moved to Paris, where she became a student of the Parisian painter Fernand Léger, whom she later married.
