Landscape painter, representative of the Vladimir school of landscape painting; within the framework of this artistic movement she created her own individual style. In 1937, she was arrested as the daughter of a prominent Socialist Revolutionary and sentenced to 5 years in a labor camp in Kolyma. After serving her sentence, she was left in Magadan, where she worked as an artist in the local drama theater. In her development as an artist, she used the advice of V.I. Shukhaev. In 1949-1957 worked as an artist in the theaters of Sterlitamak and Kizel. In 1957 she moved to Vladimir and began working as an artist at the local drama theater. In 1962, she left the theater and devoted herself entirely to landscape painting. Member of the Union of Artists since 1977. Wife of the artist V.L. Templin. After her death, her diaries were discovered in the FSB archives and then published (I want to live... From the diary of a schoolgirl. 1932-1937: based on the materials of the investigative case of the Lugovsky family. - M., 2003), soon translated into the main European languages. Lugovskaya’s bright, impulsive and at the same time lyrical painting bears the stamp of her extraordinary personality. N.S. Lugovskaya is a participant in many art exhibitions. Her works are in a number of museums in Russia, in domestic and foreign collections.
