Lyatsky Efim Elmovich (1929–1977)

Painter. In 1945–1953 he studied at the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School named after V. I. Mukhina in the department of monumental and decorative painting with Alexander Lyubimov, Konstantin Belokurov, Kirill Johansen, Ivan Stepashkin. He graduated from college in the workshop of Anatoly Kazantsev, his diploma work was a monumental panel “Spartak” for the foyer of a Leningrad cinema with the same name, made in kind. After completing his studies, he worked in the workshops of the Leningrad branch of the RSFSR Art Fund. He was engaged in monumental and easel painting, mainly in the genre of landscape. He taught at the Leningrad Theater Institute. He has participated in exhibitions since 1955, exhibiting his works along with works by leading masters of fine art in Leningrad. In 1957 he was accepted as a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. The works of E. E. Lyatsky are in museums and private collections in Russia, Finland, Japan, Germany, France and other countries.
