Lyubimov Alexander Mikhailovich (1879, Paltsevo, Kursk province - 1955, Leningrad).

Russian Soviet artist - painter, graphic artist, teacher, professor at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin and the Higher Art and Industrial School named after V. I. Mukhina, member of the Leningrad Union of Artists, portrait painter, genre painter. Alexander Lyubimov has participated in exhibitions since 1900. He painted portraits, genre and historical compositions, and landscapes. He created satirical graphics, theatrical sketches, and cartoons. He worked in the techniques of oil painting, watercolor, gouache, pastel, and pencil drawing. Personal exhibitions of Alexander Lyubimov's works were shown in 1949 in Leningrad and in 1991 and 1998 in St. Petersburg. His works are in the State Russian Museum, in numerous museums and private collections in Russia, France, Great Britain, the USA, Germany, Italy and other countries.
