Magaril Evgenia Markovna

Schedule. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Student of K. Malevich and M. Matyushin. She studied in Vitebsk at the Higher School of Arts and at the Academy of Arts in Petrograd. Along with L. M. Lisitsky (El-Lissitsky) and N. M. Suetin, she was a member of the group “Approvers of New Art” (UNOVIS) in Vitebsk, as well as one of the employees of the Institute of Artistic Culture (INHUK) in Petrograd. Without directly borrowing the ideas and methods of the avant-garde luminaries, the artist preferred freedom of visual vocabulary. She took part in many exhibitions. Magaril's works are in the State Russian Museum and in private collections in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
