Studied at the Moscow City Art Studio for Disabled People (1946-47), Moscow State Art Institute named after. V.I. Surikov (1947-53). Lived and worked in Moscow. He began exhibiting in 1954. He took part in the All-Union exhibition in Moscow in 1955, as well as in the exhibition Soviet Russia in 1960. In his work he paid special attention to images of the nature of the Russian North. The artist's works are in many museums and private collections.
