Painter, graphic artist. The son of the painter Alexander Eduardovich Makko, the grandson of the watercolorist Joseph-Eduard Makko. He studied at the art school in Penza. In St. Petersburg, his mentor was K.A. Savitsky. He attended classes at the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at the Imperial Academy of Arts, as well as the Academy of R. Julien in Paris. In 1908 he opened an art studio in Nice. In 1911 - 1914 he took part in exhibitions of the avant-garde group “Ring” in Kharkov. He taught at the Kyiv Academy of Plastic Arts, professor. He was one of the founders of the artistic association "Scythians". In the 1920s - 1930s he took part in exhibitions in Prague, Nice, Paris, and was an exhibitor at the World of Art exhibition at the Boesi Gallery in Paris. Exhibited at the Autumn Salon and the Salon of the Tuileries. In 1938, the artist’s personal exhibition took place in Paris, and in 1948 in Nice. The artist’s works are presented in the collections of the Tomsk Regional Art Museum, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
