Academician (since 1911). Member of TPHV. The son of the Itinerant artist V.E. Makovsky. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture with his father, at the Academy of Arts with I.E. Repin and in Paris with B. Cormon. The works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Russian Museum.
