Malagis Vladimir Ilyich

Malagis Vladimir Ilyich (1902, Grivo, Courland province - 1974, Moscow).

Along with V.V. Pakulin A.F. Pakhomov, A.N. Samokhvalov, A.I. Rusakov, was a member of the main core of the “Circle of Artists” society. He studied at Vkhutemas-Vkhutein with K. Petrov-Vodkin (1919-24), at advanced courses for artists with E. Lansere (1932-33). Since 1925, together with the main members of the Circle of Artists society (1926-29), he participated in exhibitions. The works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; State Russian Museum and State Museum of History of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg; Far Eastern Art Museum, Khabarovsk; Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum and other collections.
