Awards: State Prize of the RSFSR named after. Repin, medal of the USSR Academy of Arts, medal named after. Grekov, medal of the Soviet Peace Foundation. He graduated from the Zaporozhye art and professional school (1924), VKHUTEIN (1930). Since 1928, participant of art exhibitions. Famous works: “Guards ships on the march” (1947), “The feat of the Red Navy man Ivan Golubets” (1946), diorama “Suvorov’s Alpine campaign” (1952), “Storm of Sapun Mountain” (1958), “Battle of Borodino”, “Airborne landing near Vyazma in 1942” (1973), "Battle of Stalingrad". The artist’s works are presented in the largest museums in Russia (The State Tretyakov Gallery, the Central Naval Museum of St. Petersburg, the Suvorov Museum of St. Petersburg, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces in Moscow), museums of the countries of the former USSR, Russian and foreign private collections.
