Cesare Marianecchi worked exclusively in the genre of artistic copying, which was in great demand in the 19th century. In this area, he achieved high skill and wide recognition, since his watercolors from the paintings of Renaissance masters are distributed throughout Europe. His easel watercolors based on originals by Titian and Raphael from the collections of Durny and Dolgorukov were exhibited in Russia in 1882 and 1886 at exhibitions of the Society of Russian Watercolorists in St. Petersburg. This work is a copy of the painting "Beauty" by Titian Vecellio from 1536, currently in the Pitti Gallery in Florence.
