Markovnikov Boris Vladimirovich

1974 – 1978 – Moscow Regional Art School “In Memory of 1905”. Since 1983 member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. 1990 – 1995 – organizing member of the Polygon group. Winner of the 1st prize at the 17th Youth Exhibition of the USSR Union of Artists, Moscow (1986), 1st prize at the Biennale of Contemporary Painting, Sofia (1988). In 2002 he was awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. Lives in Moscow. The works are in the Museum of Modern Art (Sofia), the Museum of the University of South Florida (Tampa, USA), the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, MMSI, a number of regional museums in Russia, and private collections.
