Martynov Nikolai Avenirovich (Averyanovich) (1842-1913)

Russian graphic artist, watercolorist. Watercolor copies of the frescoes of the Church of the Savior on Nereditsa (1198), executed by Martynov in 1862, earned a bronze medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1867. He was the first organizer of classes in fine arts at the Prechistensky working courses. The author's works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Darwin Museum, the Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve and private collections.
