Belarusian artist, painter, art critic, teacher. Honored Artist of the BSSR (1954). People's Artist of Belarus (1994). Graduated from the Vitebsk Art School (1938) and the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. V. Repin in Leningrad (1953). In 1994, the painting gallery of P. V. Maslennikov was opened in the Mogilev Regional Art Museum; since 1997, the museum has been named after the artist.
