Matorin Mikhail Arsentievich (1905 – 2002).

Honored Artist of Russia, Honored Artist. Awarded the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. From 1925 to 1930 he studied at the Moscow State College of Fine Arts in Memory of the 1905 Uprising under the guidance of M.K. Sokolov, I.P. Chetverikov and others. In 1930 he joined the Society of Moscow Artists (OMH), where he became close friends with A.V. Kuprin and P.P. Konchalovsky. During his many years of stay in the Creative Union M.A. Matorin. was a participant in more than 60 exhibitions, of which 6 were personal. In 1995 and 2000, on the day of his 90th and 95th birthdays, the State Tretyakov Gallery opened halls of his painting.
