Meshcheryakov Viktor Panteleimonovich

Artist, teacher, member of the USSR Union of Artists (1960), participant of the Second World War. Graduated from the Kharkov State Art School (1951). Until July 1941, a student at the Sverdlovsk Art School. Since 1951 he lived in Chelyabinsk, worked in the “Artist” partnership (now the art and creative plant of the Art Fund of the Russian Federation). In 1977-79 he was a teacher at the Chelyabinsk Art School. Meshcheryakov's creativity (portraits, landscapes, everyday painting) is based on the principles of realism. He was a participant in regional and city (1952), zonal (1st, 2nd and 6th), republican (Moscow; 1954,1957,1979) art exhibitions; exhibitions of works by Chelyabinsk artists in Voroshilovgrad (1982); exhibitions of works by artists who participated in the Great Patriotic War and home front workers, dedicated. 55th anniversary of the Victory (Chel., 2000). The personal exhibition took place in 1975. The artist’s works are kept in the funds of the Chelyabinsk Museum of Art and the collection of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation (Moscow).
