Miturich May Petrovich (1925-2008).

Russian artist, People's Artist of Russia (1986), laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR, full member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Born in Moscow on May 29, 1925 in the family of artists Vera Khlebnikova and Pyotr Miturich. In November 1942 he went to war and reached Berlin. He worked in a front-line brigade of artists with such masters as Anatoly Nikich, Boris Popov, Evgeniy Rachava. In 1948 he entered the correspondence department of the Moscow Printing Institute and graduated in 1953. He taught at this institute for many years. The works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, GR, Pushkin Museum im. A. S. Pushkin, MMSI, Museum of the East and private collections.
