Studied at LHU named after. V. Serov and then in 1957 graduated from the painting department of the Art Institute in Tallinn. For a number of years he taught drawing at the Pedagogical Institute. Nizami in Tashkent. There he became the artistic editor of the children's humor magazine "Guncha". Returning to Leningrad in 1958, he worked for 10 years on television as a production designer and at the same time as a graphic artist in the popular children's magazines "Koster", "Iskorka", "Funny Pictures". In 1970, he went to work as a teacher at the V. Serov School, without interrupting his connection with children's magazines. In 1978 he was accepted as a member of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. From 1992 until the end of his life he worked as the art editor of the Koster magazine.
