Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1977), People's Artist of the RSFSR (1984). Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Studied at the Omsk Art College named after. V.A. Vrubelai (1939-1941), at the Irkutsk Art School (1946-1949), then at the Riga State Academy of Arts of the Latvian SSR (1949-1955). His teachers were E.F. Kalnyn, V.I. Kozin, O.E. Skulme, A.A. Skride. In December 1956, he was elected chairman of the Ulyanovsk regional organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR, which he headed for almost thirty years. The works are in museums in Ulyanovsk, Belgorod, Orenburg, Saransk, Cheboksary, Irkutsk, Severobaikalsk, Cherepovets, etc. He was a member of the board and secretary of the board of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR, and was elected a member of the board of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Included in the Golden Book of Honor of the region (1998).
