Murzanov Vladimir Alekseevich

Murzanov Vladimir Alekseevich (1872 – 1922).

Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. In 1892 - 1895 he studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under I. Repin. Received medals: in 1893 - a small incentive medal; in 1894 - a large incentive and in the same year - 2 silver; October 30, 1895 - title of class artist, 3rd degree. In 1910 he opened the “School of Drawing, Drawing and Modeling” in Nikolaev. One of the founders of the Society of Fine Arts. V. Vereshchagina (1913 – 1918). Founded the Art Museum named after. V. Vereshchagin, whose director and chief curator was until 1922. Author of landscapes and thematic paintings. The works are stored in the Nikolaev Art Museum and other museums in Ukraine.
