She studied painting and drawing in the workshop of D.N. Kardovsky (1923-1928). In the early 1930s. collaborated with Moscow publishing houses as a graphic artist. She started painting in the studio of A.F. Spira. In the 1940s worked as an artist in the decorative workshops of the Bolshoi Theater, creating curtains and stage decorations, and participated in the design of the opera by M.I. Glinka "Ivan Susanin". Since the 1950s. She devoted herself to easel painting, working in the genres of portrait, landscape, and still life. She created a series of portraits of contemporaries, cycles of landscapes of the Moscow region, the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, and Crimea. The artist's wife P.P. Sokolov-Skal. The artist’s works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Bolshoi Theater Museum, and many regional museums.
