Myasoedov Grigory Grigorievich (1834, Tula province - 1911, Poltava).

Wanderer. Full member of the Academy of Arts (1893). In 1858–1862 studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts with A.T. Markova and T.A. Neffa. In 1862 he received a large gold medal and the title of class artist of the 1st degree. In 1863–1868 As a “pensioner” of the Academy he worked in France, Germany, Italy and Spain. One of the organizers and most active figures of the “Association of Itinerants” (since 1870). In 1893-1902. taught at the Academy of Arts. In 1870 he received the title of academician. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of A.S. Pushkin, in many regional museums.
