Neiman Jan Yanovich

Soviet and Russian sculptor. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia, as well as the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. He studied from 1964 to 1970 at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I. E. Repin at the sculpture department under the direction of V. B. Pinchuk. He taught sculpture at the St. Petersburg University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Since 2014 - honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Awarded a diploma and silver medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. Almost all the significant works of the sculptor are connected with his hometown - Leningrad and Russian history: monuments to Marshal Zhukov, Adjutant General Brusilov, General Bagration. More than 30 monuments and memorial signs by Jan Neumann are installed on the streets of different cities in Russia, as well as in Finland and Kazakhstan.
