Landscapes and portraits of Ia Novi, as well as her husband, artist I.I. Golitsyn, confirm the vitality of the traditions of the Russian school of painting, the continuity of its best principles. I.V. Novi chose the path of constant honest service to nature, its creative understanding and experience. Her painting method is equally characterized by impulsiveness, inspired impetuosity and, at the same time, self-absorption and reflection.
