Nyurenberg Amshey Markovich (1887, Yelisavetgrad, Khersonskaya guberniya - 1979, Moskva) Sovetskiy khudozhnik, zhivopisets, grafik. Priverzhenets Parizhskoy shkoly zhivopisi, V 1904 - 1910 godakh uchilsya v Odesskom khudozhestvennom uchilishche u K.K. Kostandi. V 1911 - 1913 gody zhil v Parizhe, gde uchilsya v chastnykh khudozhestvennykh akademiyakh. V techeniye goda zhil i rabotal v sovmestnom atel'ye s Markom Shagalom v falanstere «Lya Ryush». S 1918 goda rukovodil chastnoy studiyey «Svobodnaya masterskaya» v Odesse. V 1919 godu byl naznachen narodnym komissarom iskusstv Odessy i glavoy Komiteta po okhrane pamyatnikov iskusstva i stariny. V 1920 godu pereyekhal v Moskvu, gde rabotal v Oknakh ROSTA vmeste s Vladimirom Mayakovskim, izgotovil boleye 200 plakatov. V 1921 - 1922 godakh byl v komandirovke v Uzbekistane dlya organizatsii restavratsii istoricheskikh i kul'turnykh pamyatnikov. V 1922 godu prisoyedinilsya k Novomu obshchestvu zhivopistsev (NOZH). V 1923 - 1925 godakh uchastvoval v sovmestnykh vystavkakh s chlenami gruppy «Bubnovyy valet». V 1930-ye gody prinyal uchastiye v organizatsii Soyuza khudozhnikov SSSR, rabotal dlya Muzeya Revolyutsii. Raboty avtora predstavleny v sobranii Gosudarstvennoy Tret'yakovskoy galerei, Muzeya Gosudarstvennogo akademicheskogo Bol'shogo teatra Rossii, Gosudarstvennogo muzeya V.V. Soviet artist, painter, and graphic artist. A follower of the Paris School of Painting, From 1904 to 1910, he studied at the Odessa Art School under K.K. Kostandi. From 1911 to 1913, he lived in Paris, where he studied at private art academies. For a year, he shared a studio with Marc Chagall at the "La Ruche" phalanstery. From 1918, he managed the private studio "Free Workshop" in Odessa. In 1919, he was appointed People's Commissar of Arts of Odessa and head of the Committee for the Protection of Artistic and Antiquities Monuments. In 1920, he moved to Moscow, where he worked at ROSTA Windows with Vladimir Mayakovsky, producing over 200 posters. In 1921-1922, he was on assignment in Uzbekistan to organize the restoration of historical and cultural monuments. In 1922, he joined the New Society of Painters (NSPA). From 1923 to 1925, he participated in joint exhibitions with members of the "Jack of Diamonds" group. In the 1930s, he helped organize the Union of Artists of the USSR and worked for the Museum of the Revolution. His works are represented in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia, the State V.V. Mayakovsky Museum, the State Museum of Oriental Art, and other Russian museums and private collections.
