Painter, graphic artist, sculptor. Studied at the Rostov Art School named after. M.B. Grekov (1959-1962), then at the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I. Surikov in D. Zhilinsky, A. Gritsai, S. Shilnikov (1968). In 1969 he was accepted as a member of the Union of Artists. Since 1966, he has been a regular participant in Moscow, republican and all-Union exhibitions. In painting and graphics he achieved great skill in depicting the naked female body. He worked in the genre of landscape, still life and portrait, created monumental panels and stained glass windows. Personal exhibitions of A.A. Okorokov took place in Moscow (1988, 1992, 1997, 2002), in Prague (1989), in Serpukhov (1991), in Frankfurt am Main (1991). The artist’s works are in the Serpukhov Museum of Local Lore, in the Kemerovo Art Gallery, in the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow, in galleries in Prague, Frankfurt am Main, in private collections in Russia, Germany, the USA, Sweden, and Bulgaria.
