Olenev Viktor Makarovich

Artist, architect, collector. Since 1924 - student at the Faculty of Architecture of the Academy of Arts. Participates as an architect in numerous national and international competitions. Recipient of many prizes and awards. Creative range of V.M. Olenev’s work is wide: landscapes, views of cities, still lifes, genre compositions, portraits, sketches of scenery for the theater. Since 1933, member of the Union of Architects. Teaches at the Art College named after. Mukhina and at the Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after. I.E. Repina. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Awarded a red star award for courage. Participated in the creation of the Siege Museum, Leningrad. Works by Olenev V.M. are in private museum collections: the Russian Museum, the Museum of City History, the Pushkin House, the Theater Museum.
